Northern NSW Local Health District is seeking a Visiting Medical Officer Gastroenterologist to join the team at Tweed Valley Hospital. This is a part-time, contingent worker position classified as a Visiting Medical Officer. Remuneration as a Senior Specialist will be considered and is subject to Chief Executive approval.

As part of your role, you will be expected to:

- Provide specialist gastroenterology medical services and high-quality clinical care to patients within the hospital setting.

- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient management.

- Participate in departmental quality improvement,



safety initiatives, and clinical governance activities.

- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with health service standards.

- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the necessary professional qualifications and registration requirements for a specialist medical practitioner in New South Wales. Experience working within a hospital or acute care environment within a similar specialty is essential.
