Allwood Building Services Pty Ltd is currently offering an prospect for an Apprentice Carpenter to join our growing team in Roma, Queensland. Whether you are new to the industry looking to commence your trades, or an existing Apprentice Carpenter looking to relocate or change Employer at any entrant year, you are welcome to apply.

At Allwood Building Services, you will get exposure to a wide range of carpentry projects. From Residential, Commercial, Civil, Industrial and Government. We carry out a wide range of projects including many rewarding renovation projects. We also carry out a large scale of Queensland Government Projects for the Southwest Region. Completing an Apprenticeship with us will set you up for the future being exposed to such a large variety of projects and different skill sets within the Building Industry.

What You'll Be Doing

n

n
- Learning all aspects of carpentry and general building
n
- Assisting with residential building and renovation projects
n
- Working on new builds, extensions, repairs and maintenance
n
- Helping with framing, cladding, flooring, decking and fit-outs
n
- Reading and understanding basic plans and measurements
n
- Using hand tools, power tools and building equipment safely
n
- Loading, unloading and organising materials
n
- Following workplace health and safety requirements
n
- Working alongside qualified tradespeople and learning on the job
n




- Attending trade training as part of your apprenticeship
n
- Building practical skills, confidence and industry knowledge
n

- Someone who is reliable, punctual and willing to learn

- A positive attitude and strong work ethic

- Good communication skills

- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

- An interest in carpentry, building and construction
n
- Someone who takes pride in their work
n
- Willingness to work outdoors and be hands-on
n
- Basic maths and measuring skills
n
- A commitment to safety on site
n
- Ability to show initiative and have a go, Must have;
n
- Driver's Licence or on the pathway to obtain
n
- Construction White Card (must be obtained prior to commencing on site)
n
- Working at Heights (WAH) or ability to obtain
n
