We’re looking for an exceptional retail leader to take the next step in their career as our State Manager - VIC.

This is an prospect for a high performing Senior Area Manager or experienced multi site retail leader who is ready to step into a broader leadership role and make their mark.

You might already be operating at State Manager level. Or you might be an ambitious Senior Area Manager who is leading a significant portfolio, developing exceptional leaders and ready for the next challenge.

Either way, you’ll be someone who knows how to get the best out of people, build high performing teams and drive strong commercial results, without losing sight of the customer.

What you’ll be doing

As our State Manager, you’ll lead a large and diverse retail portfolio across Cue and Veronika Maine in our Victoria sites.

You’ll report directly to our Multi-State Manager - VIC & WA, working closely with them to deliver the broader retail strategy while taking ownership of the performance and day to day leadership of your Victoria portfolio.

You’ll be responsible for driving the performance of your state, while developing and inspiring a strong leadership team underneath you.

You’ll spend your time out in stores, coaching leaders, solving problems, identifying opportunities and working closely with your Multi-State Manager and Head Office teams to turn strategy into action.

This is a role with real ownership and an exciting opportunity for someone looking to step up into a State Manager role while being supported and developed by an experienced senior retail leader.

You’ll:

Drive sales, productivity and profit across your portfolio

Analyse performance and identify opportunities to improve results

Hold leaders accountable while coaching them to succeed

Ensure stores are consistently delivering an exceptional customer experience

Balance commercial outcomes with the long-term health of the business

Partner with your Multi-State Manager and Head Office teams to bring business and retail initiatives to life

Leading and developing your people

At the heart of this role is your ability to develop leaders.

You’ll lead your team of Area Managers and Store Managers to build capability, confidence and accountability across Victoria.

You’ll know how to have the conversations that matter - celebrating success, addressing underperformance and helping people see what they’re capable of.

You’ll:

Lead,



coach and develop a high-performing leadership team

Build strong succession and talent pipelines across your state

Support leaders through performance and people challenges

Create a culture of accountability, ownership and continuous improvement

Identify emerging talent and actively invest in their development

Lead with energy, visibility and consistency

You’ll be great for this role if you have:

Strong multi-site retail leadership experience as a Senior Area Manager, Area Manager or State Manager

A proven track record of leading a large and complex retail portfolio

Strong commercial acumen and the ability to understand and influence key performance metrics

Demonstrated experience leading and developing other leaders

Experience building high-performing teams and improving performance

The ability to coach, influence and hold people accountable

A genuine passion for customer experience and retail excellence

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

A willingness to travel regularly throughout Victoria

Previous State Manager experience is not essential. We’re open to meeting exceptional Senior Area Managers who are ready for the next step and can demonstrate the leadership capability, commercial thinking and ambition to take on a broader portfolio.

Based in Melbourne

Reporting to the Multi-State Manager - VIC & WA

Regular travel throughout Victoria
