About the role
n
We're looking for an experienced paediatric physiotherapist to join Just for Kids as our Clinical Lead.
n
This is a genuine clinical leadership role combining your own paediatric caseload with protected time for mentoring, complex case support, clinical education, service development and leadership.
n
The role is approximately 60-70% clinical / 30-40% clinical leadership and service development, although this will flex depending on the needs of the team.
n
You'll work closely with our Director, Senior Paediatric Physiotherapist and Practice Manager to support an established paediatric team and help shape where Just for Kids goes next.
n
What you'll do
n
Your role will include:
n
n
- Managing your own paediatric caseload within your areas of experience and interest
n
- Supervising and mentoring physiotherapists and physiotherapy aides
n
- Supporting clinicians with complex cases and clinical decision-making
n
- Providing joint consultations and co-treatment where appropriate
n
- Reviewing clinical reasoning and treatment plans
n
- Running case discussions, in-services and internal training
n
- Developing clinician learning and professional development plans
n
- Supporting onboarding and development of new clinicians
n
- Reviewing clinical pathways, service quality and consistency of care
n
- Working with the leadership team on staffing, service priorities and future growth
n
- Building relationships with paediatricians, GPs, allied health professionals and other referrers
n
n
Potential upcoming Clinical Lead projects
n
A key part of this role is having protected time to work on projects that improve the service beyond the patients you personally treat.
n
Potential upcoming projects may include:
n
n
- Further developing our Physiotherapy Aide service, including delegation, handover systems and aide training
n
- Exploring the viability of a satellite paediatric physiotherapy service alongside a trusted local paediatric medical team
n
- Reviewing and implementing an additional standardised gross motor assessment tool
n
- Investigating emerging clinical areas such as neuromuscular electrical stimulation
n
- Reviewing and updating clinical pathways and SOPs
n
- Developing targeted team upskilling and professional development programs
n
- Improving clinician onboarding and supervision systems
n
- Identifying new service opportunities and helping determine what we should develop next
n
n
These are examples rather than a fixed project list. We want the Clinical Lead to have genuine input into where their time and expertise can have the greatest impact.
n
About you
n
You'll be an excellent clinician first and foremost.
n
Ideally, you'll have:
n
n
- 5+ years' experience as a physiotherapist
n
- At least 2 years' private practice paediatric physiotherapy experience
n
- Strong independent clinical reasoning and caseload management
n
- Current AHPRA registration

n
- Confidence giving and receiving feedback
n
