ICT Category Specialist – Software & Cloud Category
- Clerk Grade 9/10
- Salary : $133,348 - $146,945 base plus super and leave loading
- Ongoing opportunity within the Software & Cloud Category, ICT Category Management Team
- ICT Category Management team in Digital Strategy, Sourcing and Assurance (DSSA) within the Digital NSW division of the Department of Customer Service (DCS)
- Location: McKell - Sydney CBD, for at least 50% of the working days in a fortnight.
About the role:
This is an chance to helpshape how NSW Government procures and manages some of its most strategicsoftware and cloud services.
Working with the CategoryManager, you will support the management of major All of Government agreements,panels and supplier relationships. You will analyse markets and spend data,contribute to category strategies, support commercial negotiations and providetrusted procurement advice to agencies across government.
You will work with seniorstakeholders, leading technology suppliers and procurement professionals todeliver value for money, manage commercial risk and improve procurementoutcomes across government.
Key responsibilities include:
- Contributing tocategory management and sourcing strategies for Software and Cloudservices
- Supporting contractmanagement, supplier performance reviews and commercial negotiations
- Analysing spend,market and supplier information to inform procurement decisions
- Supporting themanagement of All of Government agreements and panels
- Providingprocurement guidance and advice to NSW Government agencies
- Identifyingopportunities to improve value, reduce risk and strengthen supplierperformance
- Contributing tobenefits realisation,
reporting and category governance activities
About You:
You are commercially minded,analytical and confident working with stakeholders at all levels.
To be successful, you will bring:
- Experience in ICTprocurement, category management, contract management or supplierrelationship management
- Exposure toSoftware, Cloud, SaaS or technology procurement environments
- Robust stakeholderengagement and relationship management skills
- Experiencereviewing contracts, pricing, supplier performance and commercial risks
- Strong analyticalskills and the ability to work with complex data and spreadsheets
- Excellent writtenand verbal communication skills
- Sound judgement,problem-solving ability and attention to detail
- Knowledge of NSWGovernment procurement frameworks is desirable
