About the Role

n

You are an experienced Pathology Courier who would like to join our courier team on a casual basis. The role involves the collection and delivery of pathology specimens from designated locations throughout Melbourne; it also involves sorting of mail and delivery of pathology reports and consumables.

- Collection of specimens from designated locations as per courier run sheets.
n
- Delivery of specimens and request forms to the Pathology Lab in the appropriate containers
n
- Collection, sorting, enveloping and delivery of Pathology reports
n
- Delivery of consumable items as required
n
- Adhere to the safety requirements of safe specimen transportation at all times
n
- To be able to achieve work goals and have the ability to work independently.
n

Classification

n

Classifications for this position will range from classification range JJ8 ($57,002.40 per annum pro rata).

n

Your Contribution

n

n
- Victorian Certificate of Education (or equivalent)
n
- Full Victorian Drivers Licence
n
- Experience as a Courier Driver
n
- Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain.
n

The Pathology Courier Department is an essential part of the pathology service at St Vincent's Hospital by providing the collection and transport of all pathology specimens from Medical Centres and our Pathology collection centres located throughout Melbourne.
