Job Description
The Creative Studio: Blaklist Intern will support the delivery of a three-day creative workshop for young people aged 14-18 during the NSW school holidays. Working alongside the Creative Lead and guest facilitators, the intern will help create a welcoming and engaging workshop environment, support participants during activities and assist with the practical delivery of the program. The internship provides hands-on experience in youth engagement, creative facilitation and program delivery across media, communications and creative practice.

About Powerhouse Powerhouse Museum is located at the intersection of arts, design, science, and technology and plays a critical role in engaging communities with contemporary ideas and issues. It is the custodian of more than half a million objects of national and international significance and is considered one of the finest and most diverse collections in Australia. We are undertaking a landmark $1.3 billion infrastructure renewal program, led by the creation of Powerhouse Parramatta; expanded research and public facilities at Powerhouse Castle Hill; the heritage revitalisation of the iconic Powerhouse Ultimo; and the ongoing operation of Sydney Observatory.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
n
The intern will:
n
n
- Support workshop set-up, pack-down and day-to-day program delivery.
n
- Welcome participants and help create an inclusive and supportive workshop environment.
n
- Assist facilitators with creative activities, group work and participant engagement.
n
- Support young people as they develop ideas and creative projects across media and communication.
n
- Work collaboratively with the Creative Lead, guest facilitators and Powerhouse team across the three-day program.
n

- Hours: 9.00 am-2.30 pm each day

- Induction: Online induction during the week commencing 28 September 2026

- Stipend: $250 per workshop delivery day
