n
Develop beyond traditional electrical work into PLCs, SCADA, instrumentation, networking and control systems

n
The Role
n
As a Senior Automation Technician, you'll play a key role in delivering industrial electrical, automation and control systems support to our customers.
n
This is a hands-on, trade-based automation role.
n
It is ideally suited to an experienced industrial electrician who has developed strong control systems and fault-finding capability and wants to continue progressing deeper into industrial automation.
n
Your work will include:
n
PLC and control system fault-finding
n
SCADA and HMI troubleshooting
n
Industrial electrical breakdown support
n
Diagnosing complex electrical and automation faults
n

n
Testing and commissioning of electrical and automation equipment
n
Working directly with customers to resolve critical operational issues
n
Supporting automation projects and continuous improvement initiatives
n
Identifying opportunities to improve plant reliability and performance
n
No two weeks will look exactly the same.
n
One week you may be diagnosing a PLC-controlled production issue, the next commissioning instrumentation on a new project, upgrading an existing control system or supporting a customer with an industrial breakdown.
n
If you enjoy fault-finding, variety and solving problems, you'll enjoy this role.
n
About You
n
You're an experienced electrical tradesperson who enjoys the technical side of industrial electrical work.
n
You're comfortable working independently, but you also enjoy being part of a team.
n
When equipment stops, you're the type of person who wants to understand why it stopped, find the fault and get it running properly again.
n
You communicate well with customers, take pride in the quality of your work and are always looking to improve your knowledge.
n
Ideally, you'll bring:
n
A-Grade Electrical Licence – essential
n
Minimum 3 years' experience in industrial electrical maintenance, service or automation
n
Experience with small to medium industrial electrical installations
n
Strong electrical fault-finding capability
n
Experience working within industrial breakdown and maintenance environments
n
Ability to confidently interpret electrical and control schematics
n
Exposure to PLC-controlled machinery and industrial automation systems
n
PLC fault-finding and troubleshooting capability
n
Experience with Siemens and/or Allen-Bradley PLC platforms is highly regarded
n

n
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
n
Good communication skills when dealing with customers and other trades
n
A proactive, solutions-focused attitude
n
The ability to take ownership and see a problem through to completion
n
Most importantly, we're looking for someone with the right attitude, strong fundamentals and a genuine desire to keep learning.
n
You don't need to know every automation platform or technology on day one.
n
What's in It for You?
n
We want IoTics to be somewhere good people can build a long-term career.
n
You'll receive:
n
Competitive salary package
n
Fully maintained company vehicle

n
Access to our dedicated automation training lab
n

Modern workspace with team retreat/lounge, games and quiet zones
n
Monthly team recognition
n
