Are you an experienced Class 2 Driver with a passion for efficient waste management? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Class 2 Driver for Bin Collection at South Cambridge Council.

n

SCDC are a leading waste management company dedicated to promoting sustainability and maintaining a clean setting. We take pride in providing reliable and efficient bin collection services to residential and commercial areas.

South Cambscouncil operate a 4 day week – Tuesday – Friday

n

- Working hours: 06:00am- 15:45pm
n
- £16.47ph PAYE – over time paid at time and half
n
- Potential Temp to Perm placement
n
- IMMEDIATE START AVAILABLE

As a Class 2 Driver for Bin Collection, you will be responsible for:

n

n
- Operating a Class 2 vehicle to collect waste bins from designated routes efficiently.
n
- Ensuring adherence to the collection schedule and maintaining timely pickups.
n
- Conducting pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle's safety and report any issues promptly.
n
- Safely manoeuvring the vehicle through various traffic and environmental conditions.
n




- Assisting with the loading and unloading of bins, using appropriate lifting and handling techniques.
n
- Maintaining accurate records of the collected waste
n
- Providing friendly and professional customer service, addressing inquiries and concerns when necessary.
n
- Following waste management regulations and guidelines to ensure proper disposal procedures.
n

To be considered for the Class 2 Driver – Bin Collection position, you should meet the following qualifications:

n

n
- Possess a valid Class 2 driving license with a clean record.
n
- Valid CPC certificate
n
- Demonstrated experience as a Class 2 Driver, preferably within domestic areas.
n
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations
n
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
n
- Physical fitness to handle manual lifting and manoeuvring of bins.
n
- Effective communication skills and a customer-oriented approach.
n

Salary: £16.47/hour
