Job Description
Job Description
n
Noahs Haven was built from lived experience. Our founder couldn't find the right support for her son, so she created it. That's the foundation everything here is built on.
n
We're a Central Victoria-based NDIS provider delivering both Specialist Behaviour Support and high-quality Disability Support. We're growing, and we're building a team of support workers who genuinely care -people who understand that support is about the human, not just the schedule.
n
We don't do corporate distance. We speak plainly, we support each other, and we hold ourselves to a high standard because the people we work with deserve it. We are a values-driven organization committed to:
n
n
- Person-centered support that respects autonomy.
n
- Human rights and trauma-informed care.
n
- Real-world, implementable strategies (we don't just read the plan, we live it).
n
- Improving quality of life through genuine connection.
n
n
THE OPPORTUNITY
n
We are looking for Casual Support Workers to join our team in Geelong. This isn't just about 'filling hours'; it's about providing the kind of support you'd want for your own family.
n
Day to day, you might be:
n
n
- Providing respectful, high-quality support with daily living (personal care, grooming, and dressing).
n
- Acting as a companion and advocate, fostering an inclusive environment.
n
- Assisting with mobility and transport to community outings, appointments, and hobbies.
n
- Supporting meal preparation and helping keep a home running smoothly.
n
- Following (and contributing to) individualised support plans with a focus on PBS strategies.
n
- Maintaining transparent,
honest documentation that actually helps the clinical team support the participant better.
n
n
This role has required, reoccurring support with a particular client, in addition to general availability outside of these times.
n
Please only apply if you are available to work with a client 4 afternoons a week, total of 15 hours per week.
n
WHAT WE OFFER
n
n
- A team that has your back: You're not out on your own. You'll be supported by experienced practitioners and leadership who understand the daily realities of support work.
n
- Real-world training: We take professional development seriously. You'll learn about trauma-informed care and Positive Behaviour Support from the ground up.
n
- Flexible Schedule: we want you to turn up feeling refreshed and ready, not burnt out.
n
- Competitive Rates: Fair pay for the incredibly important work you do.
n
n
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
n
We're looking for someone who cares about doing this work well. The certificates matter, but the kind of person you are matters more.
n
You'll need:
n
n
- The Basics: NDIS Worker Screening Check, Compulsory NDIS Modules, Working With Children Check, and a valid Driver's Licence with a reliable vehicle.
n
- The Mindset: A proactive, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach. You see the person, not the disability.
n
- Communication: The ability to build trusting relationships with participants and collaborate with families and allied health teams.
n
n
SOUNDS LIKE YOU?
n
If you're a Support Worker who wants to do meaningful work, be properly supported, and be part of a team that actually cares about the humans they're helping, we'd love to hear from you.
