This is an exciting opportunity for a Collections Officer to join a growing and global organisation in Western Sydney. The role focuses on early intervention to bring accounts back into valuable standing and is best suited to someone with at least one year similar experience.
The Responsibilities
- Manage a high-volume portfolio 300+ overdue accounts across consumer and commerical finance
- Conduct proactive outbound contact to understand customer circumstances, negotiate solutions
- Manage daily workflows for accounts entering arrears
- Assess affordability, including basic financial and hardship considerations.
- Negotiate realistic short-term payment arrangements aligned with policy and customer capacity
- Achieve performance targets relating to recovery rates, arrangement adherence, contact quality, and portfolio resolution.
The successful applicant will have:
- 1+ years experience in a similar collections role, ideally in financial services or debt purchasing firms
- Exposure to both consumer and commercial portfolios advantageous
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage difficult conversations professionally
- The ability to manage competing priorities and improve processes proactively.
