About the Role
n
n
- Work in conjunction with the classroom teachers, Learning Support Team and Student Wellbeing Team regarding student welfare concerns
n
- Develop and implement a coordinated and restorative approach to the pastoral care of students
n
- Support and enhance student leadership opportunities
n
- In conjunction with the Head of Junior School and Deputy Head of Junior School – Teaching and Learning , implement the F-6 Social & Emotional Learning curriculum
n
- Support the Head of Junior School to monitor the collective tone of students and have a significant presence in the school
n
- Liaise with other relevant College staff regarding the development and implementation of policies including student behaviour, uniform, standards and policies
n
- In conjunction with the Head of Junior School and other Deputy Head, provide leadership to the Junior School staff and be involved in staff performance, progress and reviews where appropriate
n
n
The advertised position represents an exciting opportunity to join the leadership team at Emmaus Christian College. The Junior School Teacher role is ongoing,
however the Deputy Head of Junior School – Pastoral Care is offered for a three-year tenure to the successful applicant.

About You
n
n
- A committed Christian with a deep desire to serve Jesus Christ as Lord.
n
- Demonstrated passion for Biblically based Christian education.
n
- An appropriate qualification in Teacher Education.
n
- Demonstrated ability in highly effective classroom teaching.
n
- Demonstrated ability to work positively in a team setting.
n
- Excellent organisational, prioritisation and time management skills.
n
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to successfully communicate through a variety of means Highly collaborative approach to work.
n
- Have a teaching load that includes F-6
n
- Current Teachers' Registration, valid Working With Children Check, RRHAN-EC and First Aid certification.
n
