The Northern Territory Department of Logistics and Infrastructure (DLI) works with industry, community and government to deliver safe, efficient and future-focused infrastructure that supports economic growth and stronger communities.
Infrastructure NT leads the Territory's strategic infrastructure planning and development, aligning infrastructure investment with economic and population growth while delivering nationally significant projects.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Darwin Region Water Supply Program and contribute to the development of the Adelaide River Off-stream Water Storage (AROWS) project, a nationally significant initiative that will help secure the future water needs of the Darwin region.
As the Manager Projects - Engineering, you will provide project leadership for assigned projects, delivering high-level technical engineering advice and ensuring project outcomes meet time, cost and quality expectations. Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you will manage projects through planning, investigations, concept development, design, procurement and pre-construction phases while helping solve complex engineering challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-level engineering and project management advice for complex major infrastructure projects.
Lead project planning, investigations, design development, procurement and pre-construction activities.
Manage project delivery across time, cost, quality and risk requirements.
Coordinate and advise on technical,
environmental, cultural, land tenure and approval interfaces.
Develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across government, industry and specialist consultants.
Contribute to creative solutions that support best-practice infrastructure planning and development.
About You
You are an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in civil infrastructure project delivery and a passion for solving complex technical challenges.
You will bring:
A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, with registration or eligibility for registration as an Engineer.
Extensive experience delivering major civil infrastructure projects across planning, design, procurement and construction phases.
Demonstrated project, contract and procurement management capability within complex, multidisciplinary environments.
Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
The ability to manage competing priorities, work autonomously and deliver quality outcomes.
Experience in water infrastructure projects will be highly regarded.
