Defob Communications is looking for a Communications Installer to join our growing team that specialises in communication cabling, mobile phone repeaters and PA systems.
n
We are based South of the river, but our work covers all of the metro area. Some works will involve rural areas and night works. This is a great opportunity to work in a niche industry for the WA market leader in passive cellular system installations.
n
The work includes data cabling, corrugated and non-corrugated coaxial cabling, PA cabling and a small amount of fibre. In addition, we are looking for someone who istechnical and interested in learning more about 4G / 5G technology (DAS) systems, basic networking, understanding RF signal levels for Wi-Fi, Cellular and MATV and how to set up & test these systems. There may also be opportunities to work on Internet satellites and CCTV.

The ideal applicant must have:
n
n
- a white card;
n
- current driver's licence;
n
- is an Australian permanent resident;
n
- a Police check with a valuable record; and
n
- resides in Perth, Western Australia.
n
n
Skills that would be favourable include:
n
n
- an ACMA ticket or a very good understanding of ACMA wiring rules;
n
- current first aid certificate;
n
- working at heights certificate; and
n
- EWP high risk or a yellow card.
n
n
You will be a dynamic person, who is good with technology, enjoys working in a variety of areas and is able to work both independently and as part of a small team. Experience in both domestic and commercial installations would be an advantage.

Ongoing, on the job training and technical support will be provided
n
especially in relation to Mobile Phone DAS (Distributed Antenna Systems).
