Kimberley Grande Resort in Kununurra have the following vacancies on offer:

Hotel/Motel Manager
The manager will assume responsibility for overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring guest satisfaction, directing staff, and maintaining profitability. The multifaceted responsibilities of this position demand business acumen, exceptional interpersonal skills, exceptional problem-solving skills and a genuine passion for guest service.
We are seeking a Hotel/Motel Manager to:
- Manage hotel services - accommodation and food and beverage.
- Oversee events and conferences.
- Manage corporate bookings and enquiries.
- Human resource management.
- Troubleshoot any issues arising in hotel operations.
- Liaise with contractors and suppliers.
- Supervise any maintenance work and renovations.
- Safeguard security and compliance, conducting inspections where necessary.
- Manage heads of departments or entire teams including supervision of ordering stock.
- Drive forward sales strategies and oversee expenditure.
- Handle financial responsibilities by ensuring high occupancy levels.
- Manage budgets and controlling expenditures.
- Track hotel revenues, setting sales targets and optimise profits.
- Analyse sales figures, reports and the different market segments and channels to define the best-suited pricing and distribution strategies.
- Maintain statistical and financial records.
- Monitor and motivate staff with constructive communication in a positive work environment and a shared vision of targets and career progression.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in hospitality management or a related field.
- Two to five years of experience in a supervisory or management capacity within the hospitality industry.
- Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and organisational abilities.
- Ability to lead people not just manage them.
- Proficiency in computer applications and hospitality management systems (RMS is preferable or similar).
- Willingness to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Possess a police check or the ability to complete the check.
The successful applicants will receive a remuneration between $90,000 - $110,000.
Landscape Gardener
We are also seeking a Landscape Gardener to join our team, applicants must have at least 2-3 years' experience in a similar role.
Duties include:
- Preparing and maintaining seedbeds and growing sites.
- Propagating and planting trees, bushes, hedges, flowers and bulbs.
- Preparing lawn areas by spreading top soil and planting grass, and by laying instant turf.
- Maintaining planted and grassed areas by weeding, trimming, fertilising, watering and mowing.
- Ensuring the grounds are clean for guests.
- Pruning trees and hedges, and installing plant support and protection devices.
- Preparing plans and drawings, selecting materials and plants, and scheduling landscape construction.
- Setting out and installing hardscape and softscape structures.
- Constructing gravel and paved areas, walls, fences, pergolas, ponds, barbecues and garden furniture.
- Examining trees to assess their condition and determine treatment.
- Lopping limbs off trees and shaping branches using chain and handsaws.
- Spraying and dusting plants and trees to control insects and disease, and felling diseased trees.
The successful applicants will receive a remuneration between $79,000 - $85,000.
Restaurant Manager
We need a hardworking, enthusiastic, and ambitious individual who leads from the front to take charge of our busy and fast-paced restaurant and bar service.
Responsibilities include:
- Oversee daily restaurant operations and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Manage bookings, seating capacity, rostering and staffing levels.
- Monitor financials, labour costs, stock and cash handling.
- Maintain high food quality, HACCP, hygiene and cleaning standards.
- Coach and mentor staff to improve performance and service.
- Build strong relationships with customers and manage feedback.
- Coordinate with reservations, functions and bus tour teams.
- Attend management meetings and report to the Duty Manager and Manager.
The successful applicant must have more than 3 years' experience in a similar role in a busy environment, and hold a RSA and Approved Manager's Certificate WA.
The successful applicants will receive a remuneration between $71,000 - $80,000.
Bar Supervisor
We are also seeking a driven Bar Supervisor to join our team. Applicants must have at least 2 years' experience as a bartender or similar role in a fast-paced restaurant environment, with a strong knowledge of a wide range of cocktails, spirits, and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. A Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification or willingness to obtain will also be needed.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain a clean and well-organised bar area, ensuring all equipment and glassware are properly cleaned and stored.
- Assist with inventory management and stock control.
- Provide excellent customer service while monitoring customer behaviour and responsibly serve alcohol.
- Support the manager and team members.
The successful applicants will receive a remuneration between $69,000 - $80,000.
Handyperson
In addition, we require a Handyperson to join our team full time as well.
You will be responsible for:
- General repairs around the property and rooms.
- Plumbing repairs including Unblocking sinks, fixing leaky taps, and replacing tap washers.
- Simple electrical repairs.
- Painting and carpentry repairs to ensure the rooms and grounds are in positive condition.
- Outdoor maintenance such as clearing gutters, fixing fences, mowing lawns, and general yard upkeep.
Applicants must have:
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Basic working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Ability to perform manual labour, including lifting heavy objects and standing for long periods.
- Strong communication skills.
- A valid driver's licence and relevant construction induction training (e.g., White Card in Australia).
The successful applicants will receive a remuneration between $69,000 - $80,000.
