About the Role - Plasterer

We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Plasterer to join our growing team. The successful applicant will be responsible for undertaking a range of plastering and plasterboard installation works across residential and commercial projects, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with project specifications, company requirements and relevant workplace health and safety standards.

This FT position at Adelaide, offers a competitive base salary of $75,000 – $85,000 per annum plus superannuation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Key Responsibilities

· Apply plaster to internal and external walls, ceilings and partitions to achieve smooth, durable, fire-resistant and decorative finishes.

· Prepare, mix and apply plaster, cement and other related materials to the appropriate consistency using manual and mechanical mixing equipment.

· Measure, mark, cut and install plasterboard sheets, securing panels to walls, ceilings, steel framing and timber battens as required.

· Determine appropriate plasterboard layouts and install insulation, vapour barriers and soundproofing materials in accordance with building specifications and project requirements.

· Measure, cut, fit and secure corner beads, angles,



trims and other finishing components to achieve straight edges and accurate finishes.

· Seal and finish joints, fixings, cracks and other surface imperfections using plaster, jointing compounds and sealing materials.

· Finish plastered surfaces using appropriate tools and techniques, including trowels, wet brushes and sandpaper, to achieve the required surface finish.

· Apply and finish acoustic, fire-resistant and insulating materials using plaster, plastic cement and other suitable bonding compounds.

· Inspect existing plasterwork and undertake repairs, patching and restoration work as required to maintain the quality, integrity and appearance of surfaces.

· Safely operate, clean and maintain plastering tools, equipment and machinery in accordance with manufacturer instructions and workplace safety requirements.

· Maintain a clean, organised and safe work area and comply with all applicable workplace health and safety requirements and site procedures.

· Work collaboratively with builders, carpenters and other trades to coordinate work activities and ensure projects are completed within required timeframes and quality standards.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

Appropriate candidates must have the following skills, qualifications and experience:

· A minimum Diploma-level qualification in Plastering or a relevant related field.

· A minimum of 2 year of relevant plastering experience.

· Demonstrated experience in plastering, plasterboard installation, surface preparation and finishing.

· Sound knowledge of plastering materials, tools, equipment and installation techniques.

· Ability to interpret measurements, plans and project specifications and complete work accurately.

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.

· Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements applicable to construction sites.

· Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

· Good communication, organisational and time-management skills.
