The Role

We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to join a large-scale enterprise technology environment, supporting the development, integration and delivery of cloud-based applications and services across Microsoft Azure and Power Platform.

This is a hands-on technical role combining Azure engineering, Power Platform development, integration and DevOps, with responsibility for building and supporting business applications, Azure PaaS services, APIs, deployment pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code.

You'll work closely with technical and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable solutions while improving automation, deployment practices and the overall reliability of the Azure environment.

Location: Melbourne – Hybrid - 3 days WFH - other states can be considered for remote working
Duration: Initial 3–4 month contract
Day Rate: Up to $1,100 including super
Security Clearance: Must hold a current NV1 Security Clearance

Responsibilities

- Develop, enhance and support business applications using Power Apps, Power Pages, Power Automate and Power BI.
- Design and implement Azure integration solutions using Azure Functions, Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus and Azure SQL.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using Azure DevOps.
- Develop and manage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform and Azure-native deployment tools.
- Develop responsive user interfaces and custom components using HTML, CSS and JavaScript where required.
- Integrate Power Platform solutions with enterprise applications and APIs in line with security and governance standards.




- Provide operational support and troubleshooting across Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Azure platform services.
- Work with Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, managed identities and Azure security controls.
- Produce technical documentation, deployment guides and operational support artefacts.

Experience Required

- Strong hands-on experience with Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI.
- Strong experience with Azure PaaS services including Azure Functions, Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus, Azure SQL and Key Vault.
- Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps, source control and CI/CD practices.
- Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code deployment methodologies.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and enterprise integrations.
- Working knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) administration and troubleshooting.
- Positive understanding of Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, managed identities and Azure security best practices.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and technical documentation skills.
- Current NV1 Security Clearance is essential.

Experience with Power Platform CoE, Azure Landing Zones, Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF), PowerShell, GitHub, Azure networking, security and monitoring would be highly regarded.

Microsoft certifications including PL-400, AZ-204, AZ-104 or AZ-400 would also be advantageous.
