The Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP BTP CAP Developer to join a major enterprise-wide SAP S/4HANA transformation program.

Location: North Sydney – Hybrid (2–3 days in the office)
Duration: 12 month initial contract with solid likelihood of extension
Day Rate: $1,200 including super

You will join the SAP BTP development team, designing and building custom applications and extensions on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) using the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP).

Working alongside Solution Architects, SAP Functional Consultants, Integration specialists and other developers, you'll help deliver scalable cloud applications that extend and integrate with the new S/4HANA environment.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop and deploy applications on SAP BTP using SAP CAP.
- Build side-by-side extensions and custom applications supporting SAP S/4HANA.
- Develop backend services and APIs using Node.js and/or Java within the CAP framework.
- Develop and integrate applications using SAPUI5/Fiori.
- Integrate BTP applications with SAP S/4HANA and other enterprise systems.
- Work with Solution Architects and functional teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Support development across build, testing,



deployment and hypercare.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and contribute to continuous improvement across the BTP development environment.
- Produce high-quality technical documentation and follow established development standards.

Experience

- Strong hands-on experience developing custom SAP applications on BTP using CAP.
- Commercial experience with SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) and Node.js and/or Java.
- Strong understanding of SAP BTP and Cloud Foundry.
- Experience developing or integrating SAPUI5/Fiori applications.
- Experience building and consuming OData services, REST APIs and enterprise integrations.
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA implementations, transformations or extension projects is highly desirable.
- Understanding of BTP security, authentication and authorisation concepts is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively within a large transformation program.
