Troocoo Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced Registered Midwife for a contract prospect within the Women's Health Unit at Mackay.

Base rate: $51.28 – $66.30 per hour
Placement details

- Position: Registered Midwife – Grade 5
- Location: Mackay – Women's Health Unit
- Contract: 14 September 2026 – 10 January 2027
- Hours: Maximum 80 hours per fortnight
- Shifts: Rotating 8 and 12-hour shifts
- Roster: As per roster
- Overtime: Applies after 80 hours per fortnight

Essential experience
- Minimum 3 years' experience in women's health nursing/midwifery
- Labour Ward and Birth Suite experience – essential
- Current BLS certification
- Manual and patient handling
- Infection control, including hand hygiene
- Mandatory reporting knowledge relating to child abuse and neglect
- Occupational Violence Prevention Training, including de-escalation and situational awareness





Desirable experience
- Previous experience using ieMR
- Previous Australian healthcare experience
- Previous Queensland Health and/or Mackay HHS experience

Candidates must also be willing to complete ieMR training, online induction and any other training required by the HHS.
