Downer Transport and Infrastructure is offering an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Laboratory Technician to join our team based in Gosnells, WA. You'll gain valuable hands-on experience while completing a Certificate III or IV in Laboratory Techniques as part of a 3-year traineeship, while being paid to learn. This role may involve occasional travel to support nearby operational sites as part of your training and development.

Trainee Rate: $26.70 per hour

About the Role
n
Working alongside experienced professionals, you will learn how to conduct laboratory testing and analysis on construction materials used in major infrastructure projects.

- Assisting with laboratory testing and analysis of construction materials
n
- Preparing and testing asphalt, aggregates and other road-building materials
n
- Recording and reporting test results accurately
n
- Participating in toolbox talks, safety initiatives and team activities
n
- Gaining practical,
on-the-job experience in a laboratory workplace
n
- Supporting laboratory operations across a variety of sites and projects
n
- Maintaining a safe and organised workplace
n
