The Training Specialist is responsible for the development and delivery of training to enable the successful delivery of a large scale, complex project of a new solution implementation involving HR, Payroll processes and technology. Working closely with key stakeholders, this role ensures that end users have the knowledge and skills needed to use the current solution effectively.

Responsibilities

- Work closely and collaboratively with Learning and Capability, Subject Matter Experts, vendor, project team and key stakeholders across Urban Utilities, to understand training requirements and approaches.
- Develop and maintain a training plan that aligns with the agreed parameters of project success and effectiveness criteria.
- Conduct training needs assessments to identify gaps and develop appropriate training solutions.
- Design and develop training content and materials (e.g. User guides, videos, FAQs, and other resources).
- Deliver training sessions through a variety of methods (e.g., classroom, virtual, e-learning, workshops).
- Provide post-training support, including answering user queries and assisting with system adoption challenges.




- Collaborate with Change Managers to ensure training aligns with broader change management strategies and to support project and training communications.
- Training evaluation and feedback, to assess training effectiveness and identify areas for improvement or training documentation amendments.

Experience/Qualifications

- Qualification in Training, Education, Human Resources, or other relevant field or equivalent work experience in these fields and demonstrated experience in a similar role.
- 3+ years' experience in training development and delivery, preferably within software implementation projects.
- Cert IV level in Training and Assessment desirable.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), learning tools, and virtual training platforms (e.g., MS Teams).
- Experience in the application of formalised Change Management approaches and industry best practice (i.e. PROSCI, CMI, CMBoK etc.).
- Demonstrated experience in producing high-quality training and materials that meet the criteria specified with project management and learning frameworks.
