An excellent opportunity for an ambitious accountant to join a leading Australian real estate investment group. This role supports a high-performing finance team within a fast-growing, privately owned business. The position offers broad exposure across fund accounting, reporting, and operational finance, with clear development and progression pathways. The team has recently moved into a modern new office space in the Sydney CBD, offering a collaborative and professional working environment.

The Challenge

n

Reporting to the Financial Controller, your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

n

- Support the Fund Finance team with the day-to-day accounting of managed funds
n
- Prepare month-end journals, general ledger maintenance and bank reconciliations
n
- Prepare monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
n
- Assist with unit pricing calculations and reasonableness checks
n




- Review month-end reports prepared by outsourced accountants
n
- Assist with BAS preparation, fund distributions and quarterly investor reporting
n
- Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements, tax returns and audit requirements
n
- Respond to finance queries from internal and external stakeholders
n
- Assist with fund and asset onboarding and offboarding
n
- Contribute to the implementation of Yardi and the migration of data from externally managed accounting systems

The Expertise

n

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

- Achieved or actively working towards being CA/CPA qualified
n
- You have commenced your career within a Big 4 or Mid-Tier accounting firm and may have additional experience in the property industry of fund accounting
n
- You have strong market knowledge of the property industry and financial services industry, seeking to grow in a highly varied and fast paced environment
n
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem solving skills
