About the Role
An exciting opportunity for a bid management professional to join a market-leading organisation delivering complex apparel, personal equipment, and managed service solutions to government, defence, law enforcement, and emergency services sectors.
This role will be responsible for leading end-to-end tender and bid processes, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and commercially competitive submissions. Working closely with internal subject matter experts, operational teams, and senior leadership, you will drive bid strategy, coordinate proposal development, manage tender timelines, and contribute to securing major long-term contracts.
This position is ideally suited to a professional with proven experience managing complex government and commercial tenders who thrives on bringing together multiple stakeholders to deliver winning outcomes.
Duties
- Lead the end-to-end management of government and commercial tender submissions, ensuring high-quality and compliant bid responses.
- Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to develop compelling technical, operational, and commercial proposals.
- Review tender documentation, develop bid strategies, and manage submission timelines from qualification through to award.
- Support pricing activities, commercial negotiations, and customer presentations throughout the tender process.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, government agencies, and key industry stakeholders.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to strengthen bid positioning and identify future opportunities.
- Maintain accurate bid documentation, reporting, tender pipelines, and submission libraries.
Skills & Experience
- Experience managing complex bid and tender processes, ideally within government, defence, manufacturing, or similarly structured environments.
- Proven success preparing and coordinating State and Federal Government tender submissions.
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to develop clear, compelling, and compliant tender responses.
- Commercially astute with exposure to contract negotiations, procurement processes, or commercial agreements.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational capability, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency across Microsoft Office and bid management tools.
