Our client is a well established engineering and manufacturing business looking for a hands on Production Manager to take ownership of their workshop and production operations
n
The role - what you'll be responsible for:
n
n
- Leading daily workshop and production activities
n
- Managing production schedules, labour and workflow
n
- Driving quality control across all stages of production
n
- Ensuring work meets engineering drawings, specifications and customer requirements
n
- Overseeing inspections, identifying defects and reducing rework
n
- Investigating recurring quality issues and implementing improvements
n
- Working closely with the Workshop Supervisor to lead and develop the team
n
- Monitoring productivity, safety, costs and project delivery
n
- Keeping plant and equipment maintained and production moving
n
n
What you'll bring
n
n
- Experience leading a manufacturing,
fabrication, heavy engineering or similar workshop
n
- A strong background in quality control and quality assurance
n
- Experience managing production schedules, labour and resources
n
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
n
- Solid leadership skills and a practical, hands‐on approach
n
- A solid understanding of WHS, productivity and workshop operations
n
- A Boilermaker trade qualification is preferred, although other relevant engineering trades will be considered
n
n
