Bogan Shire Council is seeking a reliable and motivated Cleaner – Children's Services to help maintain a safe, hygienic and welcoming environment for children, families and staff at our Early Learning Centre. About the Role

n

As the Cleaner – Children's Services, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety across the Early Learning Centre. Key responsibilities include:

n

- Completing general cleaning duties such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, disinfecting surfaces, cleaning windows and emptying bins
n
- Restocking supplies including hand towels, soap and other consumables
n
- Completing cleaning checklists and identifying additional cleaning needs
n
- Conducting regular inspections and reporting hazards or maintenance issues
n
- Using and storing chemicals safely in line with safety information and Council policies
n




- Supporting WHS requirements including safe work practices and incident reporting
n
- Ensuring the building is secure at the end of each shift, including lights, heaters and alarms
n
- Contributing positively to the Children's Services team and maintaining respectful working relationships
n

- Grade 3 salary ($32.97 - $35.70 depending on qualifications and experience)

What We're Looking For

n

You have:

n

n
- The ability to deliver high‐quality cleaning that ensures protected, hygienic and welcoming environments
n
- A friendly, self‐motivated approach and the ability to work independently
n
- Strong organisational skills to manage tasks and meet deadlines
n
- Clear communication skills and the ability to maintain positive working relationships
n
- Knowledge of safe chemical use and storage
n
- A current National Police Check
n
- A current Working With Children Check
n
- A current Class C, P1 or P2 driver licence
n
- Australian residency or a valid work visa
n
- Experience in commercial or public‐facility cleaning
n
- Hazardous Chemicals or Dangerous Goods training
n
- Certificate II in Cleaning Operations
n
- Current First Aid Certificate
n
