An experienced Maintenance Coordinator with varying skillset needed to help drive efficiencies.
Your new company
Our client is a respected manufacturer operating a highly automated production facility within the Hunter region. Due to continued growth and a focus on operational excellence, an opportunity exists for an experienced Maintenance Coordinator to join their leadership team and play a key role in driving equipment reliability, maintenance planning, safety and continuous improvement initiatives across site.Working closely with the Maintenance Manager, Production and Engineering teams, you will coordinate maintenance activities, optimise preventative maintenance programmes and provide day-to-day leadership to the maintenance team.
Your new role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating daily maintenance activities across production and site services
- Leading and supporting a team of maintenance fitters and contractors
- Planning and scheduling preventative and corrective maintenance activities
- Monitoring breakdown trends and implementing reliability improvements
- Managing maintenance work orders, documentation and CMMS activities
- Ensuring maintenance tasks are completed safely, efficiently and to GMP standards
- Coordinating equipment installations, upgrades and modification projects
- Managing contractor engagement, permits and site inductions
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to improve plant uptime and equipment performance
- Supporting root cause investigations and corrective action implementation
- Maintaining compliance with WHS, quality and environmental requirements
- Collaborating with Production,
Quality and Engineering teams to achieve operational targets
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will possess:
- Mechanical Trade Qualification or related engineering qualification
- Previous experience in a Maintenance Coordinator, Maintenance Planner, Leading Hand Fitter or Supervisor position
- Strong background within manufacturing, food processing, pharmaceutical, FMCG or industrial processing environments
- Experience implementing preventative maintenance programmes and reliability initiatives
- Exposure to GMP and CMMS maintenance systems
- Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, packaging or automated production equipment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise competing maintenance demands
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability
- Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement
