Spinifex Recruiting is currently seeking qualified Light Vehicle, Heavy Vehicle and Diesel Mechanics, as well as mechanically minded Trade Assistants, for multiple opportunities within Local Council operations across the Northern Rivers region.

Key Responsibilities

Depending on your experience, duties may include:

- Servicing, maintenance and repairs across a varied fleet
- Assisting qualified mechanics with servicing and repairs
- Diagnosing and assisting with mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
- Conducting preventative maintenance and safety inspections
- General workshop duties and equipment maintenance
- Completing work in accordance with council and safety standards




- Working collaboratively within a workshop team environment

What We're Looking For

Qualified Mechanics

- Trade Qualification as a Light Vehicle, Heavy Vehicle or Diesel Mechanic
- Experience servicing and repairing fleet vehicles, plant or machinery
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Commitment to workplace safety

Mechanically Minded Trade Assistants

- Previous mechanical, workshop, plant or machinery experience
- Strong practical and mechanical aptitude
- Comfortable assisting with servicing, repairs and general workshop duties
- A willingness to learn and develop your mechanical skills
- Commitment to workplace safety

For All Applicants

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- White Card (or willingness to obtain)
- HR Licence highly regarded but not essential
