We’re looking for reliable, hardworking Process Operators to join our team at Parramatta Creek, around 20 minutes from Devonport.

This is active, hands-on work in a busy salmon processing setting. If you’re physically fit, enjoy working as part of a team and like getting stuck into the job, this could be a great fit.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Our Parramatta Creek Processing Facility is where our premium Tasmanian salmon is prepared and packed for customers across Australia and overseas.

As a Process Operator, you could be:

- Weighing, sorting, trimming and packaging salmon.
- Preparing and handling product throughout the processing line.
- Working with your team to keep production moving.
- Following food safety, hygiene and quality requirements.
- Keeping your work area clean and safe.

We have full time, part-time and casual positions available, with shifts depending on the team. Our operations generally run Monday to Friday, with some weekend and public holiday work required.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You don’t need previous salmon or food processing experience. What matters most is that you’re physically fit, reliable and ready to work.

You’ll need to:

- Be physically fit and strong enough to safely meet the demands of the role, including repetitive work and lifting overhead.
- Be comfortable standing and being active for most of your shift.
- Have good English language and communication skills to understand instructions,



communicate with your team and work safely.
- Be reliable, punctual and able to follow workplace procedures.
- Be a team player who is willing to pitch in and get the job done.

WHAT ELSE DO YOU NEED TO KNOW?

We want to be upfront about the working environment.

It’s cold! Salmon needs to stay cold, so you’ll need to be comfortable working in a chilled processing environment throughout your shift.

Some shifts start very early. Depending on production requirements, shifts can start as early as 2:00am, so reliable transport is important.

Penalty rates apply where applicable.

Preferred candidates will complete a pre-employment medical and physical fitness assessment, as well as drug and alcohol screening, before commencing.
