About the Role
An exciting, newly-created role with an industry-leading organisation currently exists in order to fill a key role in their Finance team. Taking a hands-on approach; this Senior Financial Analyst position will be responsible for building, maintaining and automating interactive reports using Power BI based on key operational metrics. Furthermore, this role will supporting the General Manager of Finance, Business Unit Leaders and Executive teams through timely performance reporting and the preparation of insights that inform operational and strategic decisions. This role will initially commence as a contract role until the end of December 2026 however has the genuine scope for extension/permanency given internal movements within the business.
About the Role:
Reporting into the GM of Finance; the key responsibilities include:
- Build, maintain and automate interactive reports using Power BI based on key operational metrics
- Analyse financial performance drivers (revenue, margin, cost and labour) and provide transparent variance commentary and insights.
- Support budgeting, and re-forecasting cycles by consolidating inputs, validating assumptions and highlighting issues.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis to support business cases and investment decisions as required.
- Support business unit leaders with timely, accurate and actionable financial and performance insights aligned to organisational priorities.
- Support continuous improvement of reporting standards, definitions and performance cadence across the commercial portfolio.
