Our Client, JPT Group Pty Ltd trading as Indian Brothers Restaurant offers a unique dining experience, serving Indian cuisine in an elegant and stylish setting. All the dishes are cooked from local fresh produce ensuring a delicious and healthy to every customer that steps in.

They are looking for full time Tandoori and Entrée Chef for restaurant to join the highly talented team.

Duties and responsibilities:

·Specialize in the preparation and cooking of traditional tandoori dishes using a clay oven (tandoor), and entrée dishes.

·Monitor and regulate tandoor temperatures to ensure optimal cooking conditions for different meats and breads.

·Marinate proteins and vegetables using authentic Indian spice blends and yogurt-based mixtures to enhance flavor and tenderness.

·Maintain and clean the tandoor oven daily to ensure safe, hygienic, and effective operation.

·Prepare and roll dough for various tandoor-baked breads, ensuring consistency in texture and taste.

·Manage all tandoori and entree dishes,



ensuring timely availability during service hours.

·Coordinate with the Head Chef to align tandoori and entrée offerings with the broader menu and special events.

·Monitor the supply of tandoori and entrée specific ingredients such as skewers, charcoal, and tandoori spices, and report shortages for procurement.

·Ensure all entrée and tandoori dishes meet quality, flavor, and presentation standards before leaving the kitchen.

·Train cook in tandoori techniques, safety precautions when handling the tandoor, and traditional preparation methods include preparing entrée dishes.

Qualification and experience:

·Diploma level qualification in relevant field is required.

·The candidate must have at least 1 year of experience in busy restaurant.

·Friendly, positive & approachable attitude.

·To be energetic & motivated.

·Able to work under pressure.

Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 per annum plus superannuation
