The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has become available for an Infrastructure Engineer to join a growing technology team and play a key role in supporting and improving the organisation’s infrastructure environment. This is a varied role covering cloud platforms, servers, Microsoft technologies, Linux, automation and infrastructure security. You’ll be involved in both day-to-day operational support and larger infrastructure projects, giving you the opportunity to work across a broad range of technologies.

Role
You’ll provide hands-on technical support across the infrastructure environment, acting as an escalation point for complex issues while also contributing to projects, technology upgrades and continuous improvement. The role would suit someone who enjoys troubleshooting and getting into the detail, but also wants exposure to infrastructure strategy, automation, cybersecurity and new technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, implement, maintain and support enterprise infrastructure across cloud, on-premise and hybrid environments.
- Provide technical support and act as an escalation point for complex infrastructure incidents and issues.
- Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, capacity and security.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues, identify root causes and implement preventative solutions.




- Deliver infrastructure projects, technology upgrades and lifecycle activities.
- Support Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Linux and associated infrastructure platforms.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure automation and orchestration solutions using PowerShell and other tools.
- Work with infrastructure vendors and service providers to ensure effective delivery.
- Support cybersecurity, vulnerability management, remediation and secure infrastructure practices.
- Support disaster recovery, backup and business continuity capabilities.
- Contribute to infrastructure and cloud strategy, architecture and technology roadmaps.
- Identify opportunities for standardisation, automation, efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Provide technical guidance, knowledge sharing and mentoring within the technology team.
- Participate in critical incident response and out-of-hours support when required.

About You
We’re looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with strong technical fundamentals and a broad understanding of modern enterprise infrastructure.

- 4+ years’ experience in Infrastructure Engineering or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure technologies and operational practices.
- Hands-on experience with server operating systems,



infrastructure management and automation.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Solid experience with Windows Server and Linux platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
- Experience with infrastructure security, vulnerability management and remediation.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work across both technical and business teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in IT, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.

The following experience would be highly regarded:

- Infrastructure automation, orchestration and configuration management.
- Hybrid cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
- Operational technology (OT) or industrial environments.
- Mobile platforms including iOS and Android.
- Cybersecurity frameworks and secure infrastructure architecture.
- Manufacturing or critical infrastructure environments.
- Microsoft Azure, VMware, Cisco or security certifications.
