Disabilities Services Officer - Alberton SA

Kogan People Solutions is working with a respected NDIS provider which prides itself on engaging with compassionate skilled people who are competent in all areas of disabilities and aged care. They are now seeking a Disabilities Services Officer to be based at their Alberton SA office. The role is full time and ongoing.

As their new Disabilities Services Officer, you will provide person-centred care to individuals with disabilities, empowering them to lead fulfilling and independent lives.

·Location (base) - Alberton SA. Regular metro and regional travel to client sites can be expected.

·Salary - A highly market-competitive salary in the range of $70k to $80k plus superannuation per annum will be offered to the successful applicant.

Responsibilities

Client Assessment and Care Planning:

1. Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the needs and preferences of clients with disabilities.
2. Develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to each client's unique needs, circumstances and goals.

Ensure Effective NDIS Program Implementation:

1. Facilitate activities and programs that enhance clients' social, emotional, and physical well-being.
2. Encourage participation in community activities and foster social inclusion.

Safety and Supervision:

1. Ensure a safe and supportive environment for clients, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.

Family and Community Liaison:

1. Communicate effectively with clients' families and caregivers
2. Build strong relationships with community services and resources to enhance client support networks.





Progress Monitoring and Reporting:

1. Regularly review and document clients' progress, updating care plans as needed.
2. Maintain accurate records and report on clients' health and well-being to relevant stakeholders.

Team Collaboration:

1. Work closely with other healthcare professionals and support staff to ensure delivery of appropriately coordinated care.
2. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of care services

Compliance and Safety

1. Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations and follow safety protocols.

To be successfully considered, candidates will be expected to:

1. Possess a highly relevant Diploma (or agreed alternative)
2. Offer at least 1 years verifiable experience in this area
3. Have excellent communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, participants, and families
4. Be able to read and record information and maintain confidentiality
5. Show empathy, patience, and the ability to adapt to varying needs and situations.
6. Have an understanding of disability rights, advocacy, and legislation.
7. Offer working with Children Card & NDIS Screening Card, First Aid and or CPR certification
8. Possess an unrestricted driver’s licence

You must have unrestricted full time Australian working rights to be considered.
