We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our growing community allied health team, delivering Encara’s Dementia Rehabilitation Program to clients living independently in their own homes.

The Role: As a Community Occupational Therapist, you will:
- Provide occupational therapy to people living with dementia in their own homes
- Complete comprehensive assessments of clients, their home environments and support needs
- Work with clients and their families/carers to establish meaningful, achievable goals
- Support clients to maintain independence with everyday activities and routines
- Provide education and strategies to families and carers
- Work collaboratively with Physiotherapists and other allied health professionals
- Review client progress and adapt interventions throughout the program
- Develop recommendations and referral pathways to support clients beyond the program
About You
You will be an Occupational Therapist who enjoys the autonomy and variety of community practice and is passionate about helping older people live well at home.
You will have:
- A recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy
- Current AHPRA registration
- Current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Confidence working independently in a community setting
- An interest in dementia, cognitive rehabilitation and healthy ageing
- Community, aged care or dementia experience is desirable; however, comprehensive orientation and support will be provided
- All applicants must possess or be willing to obtain a police check, NDIS Workers Screening Check and registration in their relevant discipline.
