Senior Environment and Sustainability Officer

Temporary Full-Time | Fixed Term to 8 July 2027 | Colac Otway Shire Council

Are you passionate about protecting the environment, driving sustainability initiatives and creating meaningful change in your community?

We're looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Environment and Sustainability Officer to lead and support projects that enhance biodiversity, reduce emissions, strengthen climate resilience and help deliver a more sustainable future for the Colac Otway region.

What you'll be doing:

- Delivering environmental and sustainability projects and programs
- Driving climate change mitigation and adaptation initiatives
- Building strong partnerships with community groups and government agencies
- Securing grant funding for local projects
- Developing policies, strategies, education programs and community engagement activities

About you:

- Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Natural Resource Management or related field
- Minimum 3 years' relevant professional experience
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Passion for sustainability, conservation and climate action
- Current Victorian Driver Licence

Salary Information: $92,526.20 to $99,797.88 per annum pro rata plus superannuation
