The Prospect:
An exciting temporary opportunity exists for a Community Business Support Officer to join a busy and collaborative team. This contract role provides administrative, customer service and operational support across a range of community facilities and venues, ensuring customers receive a high standard of service while supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of community assets and bookings.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing administrative and logistical support across community facilities, assisting with bookings, enquiries and customer requests while maintaining a high level of service delivery.
- Coordinating venue and facility bookings, access arrangements and associated documentation to ensure seamless customer experiences and operational efficiency.
- Processing invoices, bond refunds, purchase requests, work orders, stores orders and other financial transactions with a high degree of accuracy.
- Responding to customer enquiries and maintenance requests, liaising with internal service providers and stakeholders to facilitate timely outcomes.
- Maintaining accurate records, correspondence and data within corporate systems in line with organisational procedures and recordkeeping requirements.
- Supporting community groups, venue users and members of the public through professional communication, problem solving and service-focused interactions.
- Assisting with the administration of facility management systems and ensuring information is accurately captured and maintained.
- Contributing to team objectives and supporting broader community initiatives, plans and operational activities as required.
Your Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in administration, office support, customer service and financial processing within a busy operational environment.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience processing invoices, maintaining financial records and undertaking general clerical and administrative duties.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with customers, community groups and internal stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate, quality outcomes.
- Sound computer skills, including proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage customer enquiries with professionalism and tact.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- A current Queensland Driver Licence.
- Previous experience within Local Government or knowledge of facility booking and access management systems will be highly regarded.
