St Patrick's College Townsville is seeking an exceptional and passionate arts professional to join our community as Head of Instrumental Music & Cultural Performance Programs commencing in 2027.

Working closely with students, families, staff and community partners, you will foster a culture of participation, excellence and engagement while supporting students to achieve their personal best across a range of music and cultural performance experiences.
About the Role
As Head of Instrumental Music & Cultural Performance Programs, you will provide strategic and operational leadership of the College's extra-curricular Instrumental Music and Cultural Performance Programs, including choir, drama, dance and visual arts initiatives. You will oversee program planning, delivery and evaluation, while supporting student engagement, staff development and continuous improvement across a diverse range of co-curricular opportunities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing the College's Instrumental Music and Cultural Performance Programs, including music, choir, drama, dance and visual arts initiatives.
- Providing strategic and operational leadership for program delivery, student participation and continuous improvement.
- Leading and supporting instrumental music staff and contractors to achieve high-quality program outcomes.
- Coordinating performances, productions, tours, events and showcases that enrich student learning and engagement.
- Managing program resources, budgets, partnerships and community relationships to support sustainable growth and excellence.
About You
You are an experienced and motivated arts professional who:
- Has demonstrated experience leading music, cultural or performance programs.
- Is an accomplished musician or arts practitioner with a passion for developing young people.
- Brings strong leadership, organisational and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Can build and sustain positive relationships with students, families, staff and community partners.
- Demonstrates a commitment to student wellbeing, child safeguarding and Catholic education.
