Job Title: Corporate Communications Manager

Location: Canberra Rape Crisis Centre

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer

Position Type: Full-time (fixed term – 12 months with a possibility of extension)

Canberra Rape Crisis Centre

Canberra Rape Crisis Centre (CRCC) is a non-government, not for profit organisation working to eliminate sexual violence against adults and children of all genders. CRCC provides free, professional and confidential counselling and support for victim survivors of sexual violence, and their families, who have experienced any form of sexual violence recently or in the past.

Job Summary

The Corporate Communications Manager is responsible for coordinating internal communications, and organisational communication initiatives across CRCC. The role supports organisational growth, strategic priorities, governance, and continuous improvement through the development of communication resources, implementing branding, intranet content, policies and procedures, and organisational frameworks, while providing project and administrative support for key organisational initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Corporate Communications

· Coordinate the development and implementation of organisation wide corporate communication strategies aligned with CRCC's strategic priorities and operational objectives.

· Coordinate organisational branding initiatives, including the development, implementation and maintenance of CRCC's brand guidelines to ensure consistent messaging and visual identity across all communication channels.

· Develop communication resources, templates, presentations and organisational materials that promote a skilled, consistent and accessible organisational identity.

· Development of key organisational documents and reports such as Annual Report, Strategic Plan and other relevant reports.





Internal Communications

· Develop and coordinate internal communication plans that promote workforce engagement, organisational awareness and collaboration.

· Lead change communication activities to ensure staff are informed before, during and after organisational changes, supporting understanding, engagement and smooth implementation.

· Develop clear and timely staff communications relating to organisational initiatives, policy updates, system changes and operational improvements.

· Monitor the effectiveness of internal communication activities and recommend improvements to strengthen staff engagement and organisational communication.

Executive Communications

· Support the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO) by preparing and coordinating all-staff communications on a regular basis.

· Develop executive communication materials including strategic updates, operational announcements, presentations, briefing notes and key organisational messages.

· Ensure executive communications are timely, accurate, consistent and aligned with CRCC's strategic priorities and organisational values.

Intranet Design and Content

· Lead the design, development and ongoing maintenance of CRCC's intranet to provide a central, accessible and user-friendly source of organisational information.

· Develop, review and maintain intranet content including policies, procedures, forms, templates, user guides and organisational resources.

· Ensure information is current, accurate, consistently presented and easily accessible to all staff.

· Identify opportunities to improve intranet functionality and user experience to support organisational effectiveness and knowledge sharing.

Key Selection Criteria

Essential

· Demonstrated experience in communications,



employee and stakeholder engagement, project coordination and organisational development.

· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience developing reports, policies, procedures, frameworks, user guides, communication products, and organisational resources.

· Demonstrated experience developing and implementing internal communication strategies, campaigns and engagement initiatives.

· Strong strategic thinking, planning and organisational problem-solving skills.

· Experience drafting intranet content and managing intranet platforms, content management systems or similar communication tools.

· Demonstrated ability to support organisational change, workforce engagement, communication campaigns or business improvement initiatives.

· Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.

· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities and deadlines.

· Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.

· Experience providing project coordination and administrative support across multiple initiatives.

· Ability to work respectfully with diverse communities and individuals with lived experience.

Desirable

· Experience working within the community sector, not-for-profit sector, social services, or advocacy organisations.

· Experience developing policies, procedures, governance frameworks, or operational resources.

· Experience supporting organisational transformation, change management, or continuous improvement initiatives.

· Experience monitoring and reporting on communication outcomes and workforce engagement activities.

Qualifications

· Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Marketing, Business or a related discipline.

· Minimum three years' experience in communications, organisational engagement, project coordination, stakeholder engagement, or a related role.

· Current Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) Registration (ACT).

· Current Driver's Licence.
