Cluster Instructional Coach – Science of Learning
Based in Tauranga, New Zealand
1 Year – Fixed Term Starting Term 1 2027 or earlier by negotiation
Aquinas College is seeking an experienced and highly effective educator to join an exciting pedagogical implementation project underpinned by the Science of Learning across a cluster of Tauranga secondary schools.
As Cluster Instructional Coach, you will work alongside teachers and school leaders to strengthen the quality and consistency of teaching through evidence-informed instructional practice, with the goal of improving outcomes for every learner.
This collaborative role will involve coaching teachers, modelling effective practice, facilitating professional learning and helping translate research into practical, classroom-ready strategies. You will build strong relationships across participating schools and support teachers and leaders to embed and sustain effective practice.
We are looking for a highly skilled teacher with strong knowledge and experience of the High Impact Teaching Practices grounded in the Science of Learning and evidence-informed teaching, excellent coaching and feedback skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across different school contexts.
The position is employed by Aquinas College and based in Tauranga, Current Zealand, with work undertaken across schools within the cluster.
The start date is intended for Term 1 2027, however there is an opportunity to start earlier by negotiation.
