About the role
RTTS Training is a growing South Australian RTO that delivers training and assessment services in the Gawler, Barossa Valley and Riverland regions. We are looking for an experienced Trainer & Assessor to join our team on either a casual payroll or contractor basis.
Initially, we expect to have approximately 6–10 days per month available across our forklift, WAH, Confined Space, Civil, HRWLs and other workplace compliance and safety courses, with this workload expected to build after the first two months.
For someone who is also an experienced Heavy Vehicle Driving Instructor, we currently have approximately 3 days per week of driver training available.
If you have just completed your TAE and have industry currency from your work experience over the past 5 years, we would be happy to review your resume and set you on the path to becoming a trainer and assessor in this field.
Our training includes:
- Forklift
- Working at Heights
- Confined Space
- Dogging
- EWP Over 11m
- Bridge and Gantry Crane
- Non-Slewing Crane
- Civil Plant and Telehandler
- Secure Cargo / Load Restraint
- Heavy Vehicle Driver Training
You do not need to be qualified across every area. We are particularly interested in experienced RTO trainers who can bring a strong combination of practical industry experience and quality training skills.
What we're looking for
The key requirement for this role is:
- Current SafeWork SA Accredited Assessor status for Forklift and others if you have them
We would also like you to have:
- Experience delivering training and assessment for an RTO
- A current training and assessment credential suitable for RTO delivery and assessment
- Current industry experience and relevant licences/competencies for the courses you deliver
- A practical, professional and safety-focused approach
- Good communication skills and the ability to work with learners from a range of industries and backgrounds
Experience in Forklift, Working at Heights, Confined Space, Civil Plant, Telehandler or Load Restraint will be highly regarded, but you do not need to hold them all.
For Heavy Vehicle Driver Training, a current SA Heavy Vehicle Driving Instructor licence would be highly regarded.
Why join RTTS?
We are an established regional training provider entering a robust period of growth. This is an opportunity to join us early, take on regular work immediately and potentially build into a much larger role as our training demand grows.
We offer flexibility, varied training work, supportive administration and the opportunity to work with a practical RTO that values experienced trainers.
If this sounds like the right fit, we'd like to hear from you.
