We are seeking reliable chefs and kitchen hands to join our casual stadium culinary team at McDonald Jones Stadium in Newcastle

This role involves working across a wide variety of events, from corporate functions to large-scale stadium and hospitality events. You’ll be part of a fast-paced kitchen environment supporting the delivery of high-quality food service at events of all sizes.

This is event-based casual work, meaning shifts are scheduled around specific events. Hours may vary depending on event schedules, including early starts, late finishes and weekends.

About the Roles

Kitchen Hands

- Assisting chefs with food preparation

- Dishwashing and kitchen cleaning





- Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards

- General kitchen support during service

Event Chefs

- Preparing and cooking food for events

- Working across various service styles (plated, buffet, corporate and large-scale service)

- Maintaining quality, presentation and consistency

- Supporting kitchen operations in high-volume environments

What We’re Looking For

- Reliable, punctual and hardworking team members

- Ability to work well under pressure in a busy event environment

- A positive attitude and strong teamwork skills

- Previous kitchen experience is an advantage, but not essential for Kitchen Hands

- A Cert III or higher Culinary Qualification is required for Chef roles.

- A valid Food Safety Certificate is required for both roles.
