About the Position

Coastbay Auto Service Centre is looking for a motivated and reliable 1st or 2nd Year Motor Mechanic Apprentice to join our workshop team in Ashmore.

This is an excellent opportunity for an apprentice who is keen to develop their mechanical skills, gain practical workshop experience and continue progressing toward their qualification as a Light Vehicle Motor Mechanic.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

- Assist qualified mechanics with servicing, repairs and vehicle maintenance.

- Carry out routine servicing, including oil, filters, brakes and basic inspections.

- Assist with diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults.

- Remove and replace vehicle components under supervision.

- Assist with brake, suspension, steering and cooling-system repairs.

- Use hand tools, workshop equipment and diagnostic equipment safely.





- Carry out vehicle inspections and report faults to senior mechanics.

- Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop.

- Follow workplace health and safety procedures.

- Complete work to a high standard and within expected timeframes.

- Learn and develop recent mechanical skills through hands-on training.

- Complete all required apprenticeship training and assessments.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

- A 1st or 2nd Year Light Vehicle Motor Mechanic Apprentice.

- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.

- Keen to learn and develop their mechanical skills.

- Safety-conscious and willing to follow instructions.

- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.

- Interested in automotive repair and diagnostics.

- Well, presented with a positive attitude.

- Able to take direction from qualified mechanics and workshop management.

- Committed to completing their apprenticeship.
