About the Role
We are seeking an experienced PMO professional to support major Defence Capability Programs. You will play a key role in program governance, reporting, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and executive support within a complex Defence workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support governance forums including Program Boards, Steering Committees, Working Groups, and senior Defence governance bodies.
- Manage program schedules, governance calendars, milestones, and key deliverables.
- Prepare executive briefs, presentations, dashboards, KPI reports, and decision support materials.
- Maintain program registers, including risks, actions, decisions, and issues.
- Support demand management, work intake assessments, and prioritisation activities.
- Monitor program performance and provide reporting to senior stakeholders.
- Assist with vendor engagement, contract performance monitoring, and deliverable reviews.
- Facilitate stakeholder communication across Defence, Defence, industry partners, and program teams.
About You
You will have:
- Experience working in Defence environments.
- Demonstrated PMO, governance, or project management experience within complex programs.
- Strong understanding of Defence capability governance processes and approvals.
- Experience managing risks, issues, actions, decisions, and performance reporting.
- Excellent communication, briefing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience supporting senior executives and governance forums.
Desirable Experience
- Defence Capability Programs
- CASG, Defence Digital Group, or Joint Capability Programs
- Program Delivery, Project Management, PMO Services, Agile Delivery, Business Analysis, or Solution Architecture
Security Requirements
- Australian Citizenship.
- Current NV1 Security Clearance (or ability to obtain).
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-profile Defence capability projects while working closely with senior Defence stakeholders.
Salary range- $190K to $210 k (inc Super @12%)- offered based on skill and experience
