About Simmark
Simmark is an established electrical and energy services business providing electrical, air conditioning, solar, battery and maintenance services across residential and commercial customers.
With a busy field team carrying out installations, projects and ongoing maintenance work, we are looking for an organised and proactive Scheduler / Operations Coordinator to help keep our technicians moving and our jobs running efficiently.
About the Role
This is a key operational role within the business. Your primary responsibility will be to manage and fill the daily schedule, ensuring our technicians have a productive and well-organised pipeline of work.
You'll work with quoted jobs that are ready to proceed, incoming maintenance and service work, and customer enquiries to build an efficient schedule for our field team.
A big part of the role is being comfortable picking up the phone. You'll regularly contact customers to book appointments, confirm availability and coordinate upcoming work.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and maintaining the daily and forward work schedule
- Scheduling quoted electrical, air conditioning, solar and battery jobs
- Booking incoming service and maintenance work
- Proactively working through approved/quoted jobs to keep the schedule full
- Contacting customers by phone to arrange suitable appointment times
- Coordinating technicians and allocating work appropriately
- Adjusting the schedule as priorities, emergencies and job requirements change
- Communicating with technicians and the wider office team
- Updating job information and customer details within our systems
- Monitoring upcoming workload and identifying gaps in the schedule before they become a problem
- Assisting with general operational coordination where required
About You
We're looking for someone who is organised, confident and proactive.
You don't need to be an electrician or air conditioning technician, but previous experience within the electrical, air conditioning, construction, maintenance or trades/service industry would be a strong advantage.
You'll ideally have:
- Strong organisational and scheduling skills
- Confidence speaking with customers over the phone
- Good computer and general IT skills
- Experience using Google Sheets, email and basic CRM/job-management platforms
- The ability to manage multiple jobs, technicians and priorities at once
- Good written and verbal communication
- Solid attention to detail
- The ability to think ahead rather than simply react to the day's problems
- A practical approach to problem solving
- Experience scheduling field technicians or tradespeople would be highly regarded
What We're Offering
- $35–$45 per hour + super, depending on experience and capability
- Immediate start available
- Stable position within an established and growing trades business
- Varied role across electrical, air conditioning, solar, batteries and maintenance
- Prospect to become an important part of the day-to-day operations of the business
- Supportive team environment with plenty of variety
We're particularly interested in someone who takes ownership of the schedule. Success in this role means looking ahead, identifying available work and making sure our technicians have productive days planned before gaps appear.
If you're an experienced scheduler, service coordinator, operations administrator or trades-industry administrator looking for a role where you can have a genuine impact on the day-to-day running of a business, we'd like to hear from you.
Apply now for an immediate start.
