Permanent Part time | 24–30 Hours | Pathway to Full time

Crystal Clear Pool Care | Perth, WA

Experienced pool technician looking for more than just another pool cleaning job?

Crystal Clear Pool Care is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Pool Service & Maintenance Technician to join our team on a permanent part-time basis.

This is a genuine opportunity to take ownership of an established residential service portfolio, work independently, and grow into a full-time position as our customer base expands.

What makes this role different?

You're not starting with an empty diary.

You'll be taking responsibility for an established residential route of recurring customers, with the opportunity to progressively build that route as new customers come onboard.

Our goal is to develop this position into a full time residential service route, while our existing technician focuses increasingly on commercial accounts, equipment repairs, installations, green pool recoveries and new business.

We're looking for someone who wants to grow with the business, not simply fill a few hours each week.

The Role

Initially approximately 24–30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with the opportunity for additional hours as the business grows.

Your primary responsibility will be the professional servicing and maintenance of residential swimming pools across Perth.

The role will include:

- Scheduled residential pool servicing

- Water testing and chemical balancing

- Chemical dosing and chemical sales

- Pool cleaning and maintenance

- Equipment inspections

- Pump, filter, chlorinator and cleaner troubleshooting

- Identifying equipment faults and maintenance requirements

- Minor repairs and maintenance within your skills and qualifications

- Digital service reporting and water chemistry recording

- Customer communication and relationship management

- Identifying repair and equipment replacement opportunities

- Maintaining an efficient and organised service route

- Maintaining company vehicle, tools and equipment

- Assisting with equipment installations and other technical work when required

About You

We're specifically looking for an experienced pool technician who can work independently.

You will ideally have:

- Previous professional pool servicing experience

- Strong understanding of pool water chemistry

- Experience with pumps, filters, chlorinators and automatic cleaners

- Good mechanical troubleshooting ability

- The ability to identify and communicate equipment faults

- Strong attention to detail

- Good time management

- Qualified customer service skills

- A reliable and positive attitude

- The ability to work independently without constant supervision

- A current Australian driver's licence

- The ability to work outdoors in Perth's conditions

Experience with commercial pools, automated dosing systems, heat pumps, equipment installations, plumbing or more advanced diagnostics will be highly regarded.

What We Offer

- Permanent part time employment

- 24–30 hours per week initially

- Genuine pathway to full-time employment

- Established residential customer portfolio

- Company vehicle for work-related use

- Quality tools and equipment

- Digital service reporting systems

- Professional and well-organised working environment

- Variety beyond routine pool cleaning

- Opportunity to develop your technical skills

- Opportunity to grow with a developing Perth pool service business

Remuneration

$30–$40 per hour + superannuation, depending on experience, skills and capability.

Employment conditions will be in accordance with the applicable modern award and National Employment Standards.

Where You'll Work

The initial focus will be our established Southern Suburbs residential portfolio, with the route progressively expanding toward the Perth CBD and northern suburbs as customer density increases.

We deliberately build service routes around geographic density rather than sending technicians all over Perth. This means less unnecessary travel and more time spent servicing customers.

The Person We're Looking For

You might be a good fit if you:

- Already know how to service a pool properly

- Can confidently test and balance water

- Know the difference between a water chemistry issue and an equipment issue

- Can investigate why a pump, chlorinator or cleaner isn't operating correctly

- Take pride in your work

- Communicate well with customers

- Can manage your own day

- Notice problems before they become expensive problems

- Want the opportunity to build something rather than simply turn up, clean a pool and leave

If you're experienced, technically minded and looking for a long-term opportunity with a growing business, we'd like to hear from you.

How to Apply

Please submit your resume along with a short cover letter outlining:

1. Your previous pool service experience

2. The types of equipment you are confident servicing or diagnosing

3. Your current availability

4. Why you're interested in a permanent part-time position with a pathway to full-time employment

Only applicants with relevant pool service experience will be considered.
