Grounds Person / Gardener – Casual -
Retirement Village | 2 Days Per Week
Bluegum Lifestyle Resort is seeking a reliable Grounds Person / Gardener to join our team at a retirement village on a casual basis, working approximately 2 days per week.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in maintaining attractive, safe and well-presented gardens and outdoor areas and enjoys working in a community setting.
Key duties will include:
- Mowing, edging and general lawn care
- Gardening, weeding, pruning and trimming
- Maintaining garden beds and landscaped areas
- Blowing and cleaning paths and outdoor areas
- Green waste removal and general grounds tidiness
- Helping keep the village grounds safe, tidy and welcoming for our residents
We are looking for someone who:
- Has gardening, groundskeeping or landscaping experience.
This is highly regarded but not essential
- Is reliable, punctual and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Has the ability to operate and maintain landscaping equipment (e.g., mowers, trimmers, blowers)
- Has physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Is friendly, respectful and comfortable interacting with older residents
- Understands the importance of workplace safety
- Is willing to complete a criminal history check or provide a current police check
- Has a current driver licence and reliable transport.
