Roles & Responsibilities
* Welcome participants to the Chatty tables and help them feel comfortable
* Initiate and guide friendly, inclusive conversations using prompts from the Chatty Café toolkit
* Encourage participation from people who may be shy, new, or hesitant
* Maintain a warm, secure, and supportive environment
* Attend Chatty Café volunteer induction & training (1 hour online)
* Work collaboratively with other volunteers, staff and café staff
* Accept appropriate direction, supervision and feedback
* Report all incidents and injuries immediately to the facilitator and Coordinator/Volunteer Coordinator
* Refer any issues or concerns regarding clients to the facilitator
