Sunshine Coast Health has made significant investments in research infrastructure and has established a unique collaboration through the Sunshine Coast Health Institute (SCHI) with research partners including the University of the Sunshine Coast, Griffith University and TAFE Queensland. As we continue our journey towards becoming a tertiary level health service provider, we are seeking a talented, highly motivated and experienced Principal Governance Officer.

The position will work with a dedicated team of staff in the Research Governance unit to support researchers in the development and execution of their research projects.

Key responsibilities include:

- Providing the appropriate level of business and operational management, leadership, support and advice in the delivery of high-quality research services that are consistent with the strategic and operational directions of Sunshine Coast Health.
- Research governance and business management, ensuring that institutional and researcher responsibilities across Sunshine Coast Health meet legal and regulatory obligations; creating and maintaining a high-quality research base; and maximising research income and activities.
- Ensuring that appropriate strategic,



technical and operational advice on research governance is provided to relevant stakeholders and that business matters are coordinated to satisfy the goals and operational requirements of Sunshine Coast Health.
- Provide technical / expert advice on research and ethics governance to researchers/clients and Sunshine Coast Health stakeholders, ensuring compliance with relevant policies, guidelines and legislation pertaining to research (and in particular, human research) in Australia.

Remuneration value up to $176 711 p.a., comprising salary between $144 315 - $154 879 p.a. (f.t.), or salary rates: $72.78 - $78.11 p.h. (p.t.), employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (AO7) (full time 76 hrs p.f. or part time position available, hours negotiable.).
