About Frame Physiology
Frame Physiology is a clinical exercise physiology practice in Southern River helping adults aged 55 and over build strength, improve balance and remain independent. We combine individual clinical assessment with structured small group exercise, giving people a clear plan and coaching them through it. Our Stronger & Steadier classes are capped at ten members, with exercises adjusted to each person’s ability and progress.
About the Role
We are looking for a confident and personable Accredited Exercise Physiologist to provide fixed term cover while one of our Exercise Physiologists is away.
The role will commence on Wednesday, 16 September 2026 and continue until Monday, 16 November 2026.
You will work:
Tuesday to Friday
8.30 am to 1.00 pm
18 hours per full week
Your primary responsibility will be confidently leading our established Stronger & Steadier group classes for adults aged 55 and over.
This is not a generic fitness class. Our members have different health conditions, abilities, confidence levels and goals. You will need to manage the group while still ensuring each member feels personally supported, appropriately challenged and safe.
This role would suit an Exercise Physiologist who enjoys working with older adults, builds rapport easily and can confidently take ownership of an established group program.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead scheduled Stronger & Steadier group exercise classes
- Coach members individually within a small group environment
- Modify, progress and regress exercises based on each member’s ability
- Monitor exercise technique, safety and participant response
- Create a welcoming, encouraging and professional class setting
- Complete relevant clinical notes and communicate any concerns to the team
- Follow established class structures while applying sound clinical judgement
- Ensure classes run safely, smoothly and on time
About You
You are calm, confident and clinically capable. You can lead a room without needing to be the loudest person in it, and you understand how to make older adults feel comfortable while still encouraging meaningful progress.
You will have:
- Current accreditation as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with ESSA
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Strong clinical reasoning and exercise prescription skills
- Confidence leading group exercise independently
- Clear, warm and respectful communication skills
- The ability to build rapport quickly with older adults
- Availability for the complete cover period
Experience working with older adults, balance training, falls prevention, chronic health conditions or clinical group exercise will be highly regarded.
Why Join Frame Physiology?
- Predictable daytime hours
- No evening or weekend work
- Established classes and systems
- Small groups capped at ten members
- A dedicated clinical environment rather than a commercial gym
- Free parking directly outside the clinic
Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your experience working with older adults and leading group exercise.
