About the Role

This is a strategic and hands-on HR role responsible for supporting all facets of human resources functions across the organisation. You will work closely with senior management and the HR team to develop and implement HR strategies, lead performance management processes, and ensure compliance with legislation and award requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Strategic Involvement: Participate in the development and implementation of HR strategies, policies, and initiatives.

- Performance & Disciplinary Management: Lead performance management, investigations, and formal disciplinary processes including misconduct and grievance resolution.

- Complaints & Employee Relations: Provide timely, confidential advice and support on employee relations issues; manage ER cases from investigation through to resolution.

- Leadership & Management Guidance: Offer expert consultation to senior leadership on staffing, performance, and workforce planning.

- HR Operations Support: Support various HR functions, including recruitment, on & offboarding, payroll, rostering, and training, to ensure effective operations.





- Staff Documentation & Records: Ensure accurate, compliant staff documentation, and record-keeping.

- Policy & Compliance: Monitor, review, and update company policies and procedures in accordance with legislative requirements and best practices.

- Award & Legislation Expertise: Maintain exceptional knowledge of SCHADS Award, employment law, WHS legislation, and their application to HR practices.

- HR Metrics & Reporting: Analyse and report on HR data and key metrics to inform decision-making and compliance.

- Workplace Culture & Wellbeing: Support strategies that promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive organisational culture.

- Return to Work & WHS: Manage Return to Work programs, workers’ compensation, incident management, and workplace health and safety initiatives.

Essential Criteria

· Proven experience as an HR Generalist, ideally within community services, health, or related sectors.

· Deep expertise in Award interpretation, particularly SCHADS, employment laws, and WHS legislation.

· Demonstrated experience managing performance issues, investigations, and disciplinary processes.

· Skilled in managing employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, compliance, and offboarding.

· Robust consultation skills, with the ability to advise and guide senior leadership and managers.

· Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

· High level of discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism.

· Ability to adapt quickly to new systems, policies, and organisational change.

Qualifications & Skills:

Relevant HR qualification or equivalent (desirable)
