Role Description

The Project Delivery Coordinator is a 12-month exciting opportunity based at our Pinjar Power Station site.

The Project Delivery Coordinator will supervise and co-ordinate the activities of construction contractors and ensure work is carried out in accordance with the contract requirements.

You will be responsible for ensuring the Contractors safety management aligns with the requirements and expectations of Synergy and that a safety focus is maintained throughout project execution and for ensuring contractor activity is conducted collaboratively and with minimal impacts on the operation of the adjacent live power generation costs.

Job Responsibilities

Overall management of construction services from commencement on site by main plant contractors through to the completion of all construction and demolition activitiesEnsure contractors safety culture,



values and practices are aligned with the expectations of Synergy, and all work is executed with an unrelenting safety focusProvide construction feedback to project managers to assist with project delivery targetsDevelop effective working relationships with Synergy staff and contractorsEffectively co-ordinate and manage project Permitting requirementsUnderstand the scope of work and be able to provide input and supervision of contractors to ensure completion of all tasks safely

What You Will Bring

Trade background with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in construction and management of contractors in heavy industryStrong knowledge of OHS and Environmental legislation, Codes of Practice and Standards as they apply to the construction industryStrong communication skills, both oral and written with a demonstrated ability to discuss a wide range of issues to people across all levels of the organisationDemonstrated ability to participate in and contribute to accident/incident investigations, risk assessments and hazard and injury management processesStrong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externallyProficient skills in computers: MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint
